Where is the middle?

On this anniversary of the most heinous terrorist act ever committed here in America, I ask you all: where is the middle?

Used to be that there were some nutcases on the outskirts of our society, and most people lived more or less in peace with and respect of each other. It seems to me that we are seeing more and more polarization in our daily dealings. Hard to have a civil society when people are taking sharper and louder sides on smaller and smaller issues. How many things we do every day "cause global warming" which will "sooner instead of later kill us all." Or something similar. AND: (Insert any right-wing fear-mongering here...)

Let's remember that all of "those people" are people, just like you. And me.
